Additional Info: Eric Schultz is from Green Bay, WI and recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Music degree studying saxophone and clarinet performance. His recent accomplishments at UW - Eau Claire include recording Stravinskyís Ebony Concerto as the clarinet soloist with Jazz Ensemble I at UWEC for their upcoming CD, and winning the Student Concerto Competition with Coplandís Concerto for Clarinet. Eric competed and won in the Wisconsin Federation of Music Clubs Biennial Student and Collegiate Awards this past year and will attend the University of Minnesota in the fall pursuing a Masterís degree in clarinet performance as a School of Music Fellowship recipient. This summer, Eric is thrilled and honored to be performing his third musical with the professional (Actors' Equity) theater company, Peninsula Players. He will be playing clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, piccolo, and alto saxophone for Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George.

At UW - Eau Claire, Eric was principal clarinet in the orchestra and lead alto saxophonist of the Downbeat award winning Jazz Ensemble I. Eric's favorite moment with the orchestra was performing the famous clarinet solo in Respighi's Pines of Rome. With Jazz Ensemble I under the direction of Robert Baca, Eric has performed on stage and recorded alongside some of the biggest names in jazz and studio recording including John Patitucci, Eric Marienthal, Connie Evingson, Bobby Sanabria, Geoff Keezer, Brian Grivna, Andy Martin, Michael Mossman, Alan Baylock, and Claudio Roditi.

Eric has toured with notable names like Five By Design, Steve Lippia out of Las Vegas, and the Kids from Wisconsin. While studying at UW - Eau Claire, he was a member of the Chippewa Valley Symphony as bass clarinetist and also performed as solo alto saxophonist for Bizet's L'Aresienne Suite.
