Clarinetist Justin Willsey has performed with the Reno Philharmonic, Nevada Opera, and the Reno Chamber Orchestra. Teaching applied clarinet and several music classes, Willsey was an adjunct professor at The University of Nevada, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Music Performance. Justin is currently a DMA Candidate in Clarinet Performance at the Butler School of Music at The University of Texas in Austin. He can be heard on an upcoming Naxos Blu-ray audio release featuring the University of Texas Wind Ensemble under the direction of maestro Jerry Junkin, playing principal clarinet in the World Premiere recording of Steven Bryant's Concerto for Wind Ensemble. His primary teachers include Richard MacDowell, David Ehrke, and Steven Becraft. |
